Where to Stay in Barcelona
There are so many options for accommodation in Barcelona it can be overwhelming. These articles are designed to help you to decide on the best neighbourhood for you, what kind of Barcelona accommodation you should choose, and how to find the perfect hotel in Barcelona. I also have some Barcelona hotel reviews from specific places I have stayed in the city.
When choosing where to stay in Barcelona, think about the kind of accommodation you’re looking for and what kinds of things you will be doing during your stay. Being somewhere central in Barcelona is great for being close to the top attractions, but noise on La Rambla and on busy streets in particular can be an issue.
Choosing somewhere further out of the city centre could save some money but you would spend longer getting from place to place. Also consider what kind of facilities you would like; from a swimming pool to your own kitchen facilities. And of course, the price point!
Due to the housing crisis here in Barcelona I don’t tend to recommend staying in Airbnbs, although I understand that families and others may prefer it. My goal here is to help you make the right choice for your stay without having a negative impact on the local community.
